Here’s an analogy you might be able to relate to:

Before we had cell phones, people either carried personal phone books or memorized phone numbers in their heads. Fast forward to today; how many phone numbers can you dial from memory? The modern cell phone has replaced our need to think, to exercise that part of our brains. It stores the phone numbers and dials them with just one simple touch of the screen, or sometimes with one simple verbal request. We don’t even have to think about it. In the same way, the Main Stream Media (MSM) reports the ‘news’ from their perspective and tells us what to think about it. All we have to do is sit and watch, accepting what they tell us as everything we need to know. With one click of a button on a remote, we can pull it up on the TV and watch for hours. We don’t have to think about it because its a fully prepared media meal, ready for consumption. After all, they are professional journalists, trained to research and report the facts. Its ‘news you can trust.’

REALLY? Is that what they are doing? Serving up news you can trust?

ITS TIME FOR THINKING AMERICANS TO WAKE UP AND START ASKING QUESTIONS TO GET TO THE HEART OF THE TRUTH.

Years ago, Katie Couric clued me in to this FALLACY . In her promo for the nightly news she stated:

“My job is not to tell you about the news.  My job is to tell you how to think about the news” 

REALLY? No thank you, Katie.  I CAN THINK FOR MYSELF.

Those were words I will never forget…words that changed my life. This is when my eyes were opened to the truth about MSM.  I don’t need anyone to tell me how to think about facts, if facts are what they are reporting.  She was saying that she didn’t need to report facts and let me decide what to think.  She wanted to TELL ME WHAT TO THINK BY GIVING ME THE INFORMATION ABOUT THE FACTS SHE WANTED ME TO HEAR.

That’s when I realized that I wasn’t getting all of the facts.  There were more questions than answers.  I began to compare what multiple media outlets were reporting and they all left me with the same questions.  Fast forward to today – I no longer listen to CNN, NBC, ABC, CBS and other MSM news outlets…and let me tell you how freeing that has been.  When major news stories are reported, my mind is not cluttered with their fraudulent, self-serving narratives. I’m able to do the research and find out what happened without someone else telling me what to think or how to think.

If you think listening to a variety of MSM outlets is giving you diversity of thought – think again: Six corporations control more than 90% of today’s media.

Media consolidation is responsible for controlling all aspects of the MSM news industry, this includes creation, production and delivery. This has led to a lack of alternative viewpoints or diversity of thought in the media. There is marked censorship of content, and especially for any content that is considered controversial or doesn’t fit the narrative they want to promote. This lack of diversity is a due to a monopoly in the market. When there is lack of competition, major conglomerates seek money instead of serving public interest. The focus becomes increasing profits and market share over providing quality services, and a commercially driven media is beholden to their sponsors and advertisers, not to their viewers, as media companies are known to support candidates and political parties.
